I live in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, with my husband, Tim. We spend our weekends gardening and going to the beach. He surfs; I find shells and shark teeth. Our kids drop by during college breaks. Chloe is a junior studying environmental science at Florida State University. Luke is a graduate of the University of Florida and is working towards his master’s in geography at FSU.
I serve on the board of directors for the Dig Local Network. This grassroots non-profit supports local farmers and cultivates food equity through farmers’ markets, community gardens, and nutrition education programs. I’m a frequent shopper and occasional vendor at their weekly farmers’ market. My Grow Earthy booth sells flowering succulents and tropical houseplants.
